ABOUT JONATHAN

Jonathan Ephraim David Wey’s (b. 1983) education background includes a Bachelors Degree in Music Composition (2005) from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting (2010) from Butler University. His setting of the Agnus Dei won the National Prize for the Music Teacher’s National Association Composition Competition in 2000. He recently collaborated with the Lima Symphony on Project Noteworthy, aimed at

helping youth in area schools find a creative outlet during the pandemic.

In addition to composing and arranging, he enjoys performing locally as a pianist and as a vocalist with Aire Born Recording Studios in Zionsville, Indiana. He and his wife serve as music directors at Saint Stephen’s Orthodox Church in Lima, Ohio. He is currently an adjunct professor of music at Ohio Northern University.
